I think Bruce Lee is a much better fighter, but would not fare well in current MMA matches, at least initially. My basis for this is that MMA has quite a predominancy of grappling and judo-like techniques, in which bruce was lacking. I think he would not have any problem adjusting after incorporating some judo or brazilian jiu-jitsu to his repertoire.

This. Wrestling & grappling is too important to mma to expect Bruce Lee to have much success. If mma was a thing while he was alive he might have made a point of learning these things, but it wasn't.

This is basically the answer for ANY question along the lines of "how would pre-mma competitors match up with modern pro mma fighters." Before mma became popular, the people who dominated any sport whose skillset overlaps with mma would have been too specialized to match up well with modern pro mma fighters. Punchers didn't learn to kick, kickers didn't learn to wrestle, wrestlers didn't learn to punch, etc...
