The government is preventing people from growing their own vegetables, you think they will ever let people grow their own medicine. Everything including water has to have a price on it. 33 states have unsafe drinking water ...merely a coincidence bottled water is a hundred billion dollar industry now. Nothing is free or allowed to be free now a days. If you control the hyarchy of need.. water food medicine shelter you control the people at a insane profit margin. Keeping an enslaved indebted population easily under control.
Incarceration is also incredibly lucrative

They make perfect sense. You aren't free...you're a slave. Government takes away your rights as a human being to remind you that you aren't in charge of your own existence, and they can lock you away or invade your privacy at any time for whatever arbitrary reason they want.

And this, right here, is why faith in the federal government is at an all time low. Unelected bureaucrats getting people thrown in jail for nonsensical crimes. It may be illegal through federal regulation but the DEA determines the severity of the punishments with it "schedules."
The only people hurt by pot are the one's that the government catch with it.

So people are just going to go, "Oh ok, they said no." ? Fuck that shit. Someone just needs to put in a bill and have people vote on it. This is why democracy is dying. People just sit back and accept "No". From organizations with no power like the DEA.

That's fine, I say "no" to funding the DEA. And no, I've never done drugs.

The DEA is the best thing that happened to the cartels. If they weren't preventing people from growing their own weed or producing their own drugs in the US then their wouldn't be a need for the cartels. Instead, the DEA eliminates most of the local competition, enabling the cartels.

But the DEA is the Cartel, if you look at where we send are agents to fight the war on drugs. More drugs come out of these area when the DEA agents start working there. They create the drugs and get them into the states to sell them (profit), have a war on fighting them (profit), then make laws to put people in jail or take their money (more, and more profit).

Of course they did. Marijuana is a HUGE profit for the DEA. They get tons and tons of funding to stop people from smoking weed. Why would they give up their cash cow?
[–] 6049779? 0 points 16 points 16 points (+16|-0) ago
The bigger picture is it is most definitely a huge profit for the DEA, and all the other alphabet soup agencies that deal with the "evil drugs" as well as the Judicial system where people get to be prosecuted for a "crime" so that privately owned prisons may make their yearly quota.
It has been the government vs the people's freedom for a very long time. It is time to wake up and take back our freedom that is our natural born right.
Or not.

Either last year or the year before it US citizens paid the DEA $4.20 per plant in taxes for the eradication of cannabis.
