They did not destroy Brandenburg Gate to build a mosque. All the sight are still there for you to see. For the culture, I saw no difference between last october and october 4 years ago. It did not surprise me at all. At their core, the current German culture is one of self hate and of leftist 'openness'. They don't push their heritage much.
That being said, it's probably significantly worse now than it was 10 months ago. And no, I would not go back considering the current situation.

What about the sights that are within mohammedan ghettos/no-go zones?
And the increased diversity decreases the trust in the society, so the ethnic locals are less friendly, etc.

I'm not aware enough about the situation in Germany to know if sights are in no-go zones. If it's the case, it's a damn shame. But if Germans are not mad that their sights are being highjacked and are off limits to them, tourists won't change their minds. Germans need to grow a spine and some balls. That's the real problem. (There was a pretty big nude park in Berlin and I assume that it's gone now, but I doubt it was a big touristic draw. It's more an inconvenience to the locals.)
