What does fractional reserve lending have to do with fiscal policy? If politicians weren't buying votes from today's voters on tomorrow's voters' pocketbooks, it wouldn't matter whether fractional reserve lending existed or not.
The plain and simple is that people will always vote more money for themselves if given the choice. This manifests across all levels, in all regions. As long as the politicians can write blank checks after the fact to make up for the revenue shortfall, they'll keep doing it.
Fractional reserve lending contributes to significant devaluation of currency, there's no doubt about it, but it isn't responsible for the haphazard spending practices of our government at large.

The Oracle of Omaha is just like the rest of us! He even lives in a small house! Of course he knows what it's like to be one of the little people.

Doesn't that say more about poverty than our tax structure? It seems silly to tax people that are broke. Plus, you have to take into account that some states have income tax, too. I have a part time job @ $9.75/hr. I pay $0 federal income tax, but a few hundred to NY state.

You realize that actual poverty (as strictly defined and used to track economic progress / compare countries) was eliminated long ago in the US, right? That's why Obama tried (did? It's been a few years, so I don't remember what the end result was) to redefine poverty as a percentage of all income earners, so that government programs to "fight poverty" would always grow.

You assholes do realize you are making yourselves look bad right? She said aren't. Aight? Pushing fake bullshit just makes you as bad as the mainstream media. Listen to it again. You can hear the aren't, there is probably better footage and sound available and if you make it an issue. You will lose. Because then all the media outlets will spin this as the clinton hate machine.

nah she said it but it was clearly a mistake even if it's what they will ultimately do

Agreed, bullshitting is not something you need to do when the facts are on your side.

The middle class? You mean that dwindling group of people who were gutted during the Bush administration while the rich got even richer and their jobs, pensions, and savings evaporated out from under them?
That endagered species that has not yet recovered? The backbone of American society? The ones who spend the most in a successful economy and thus build the economy? Hillary wants to take more money from them, and not the rich motherfuckers who are lining her pockets and buying every political leader, rigging every election, and pushing for more and more war and conflict the world over?
Wow, color me fucking surprised.
At this point, i almost hope she wins. Maybe Hillary will be the breaking point. Maybe Hillary is what America needs to push its people out of their complacency and out into the streets in spectacularly violent and bloody revolution.
God damn i love this. It's like watching a head on collision between a freight train and a passenger in slow motion. Just gotta drink enough that i don't feel the impact when it kills me.

Hillary, in a rare moment, tells the truth. Obama called his tax hike Affordable Care Act. What will she call her tax hike?
