Yeah just create more money and give it to people who will be paid far above the value of their labor so that prices on everything rise and we end up with increasing inflation.

Well they're already being subsidized. Why do we even have 40 hour/week positions that don't pay enough for people to live with without government assistance?
Because not all labor is worth the amount of money that it takes to "live on".
Whether you like it or not, unskilled labor like emptying trash cans, cleaning toilets, and microwaving pre-made frozen foods at McDonald's is not worth a 30,000$/year salary.
