You're being downvoted, despite being a longtime user and Trump supporter. All for a very sober reflection on current events. That should tell you something about most of the Trump supporters here. They are drunk on the idea of Trump. It's like if you try to shit talk Death Grips's new album on /mu/.
[–] Northvvait 0 points 4 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago
The downvotes are because the premise that Trump has blown it is completely manufactured by the media. Accepting the media's framing of events is admitting failure.
What is different today than a week ago? Nothing. At. All. Hillary is still a lying bitch that can't get that mouth cancer metastasizing fast enough and Trump is still a wrecking ball to the elite in their ivory tower.

Nope.

Do you have the faith that he won't repeat this performance of giving the media exactly what they want by replying to their bait?
This isn't a typical election, he's basically being tested with every word and can't afford another slip up.

I disagree. Look no matter who runs on the republican side they always become the most racist candidate ever, the most homophobic ever, the most anti-women ever. That is just how the narrative is set when you go against the dems. The key to Trump previous success is he does not apologize, counter punches, defines his opponents, and owns the downside.
The second they can get Trump to apologize it will be the whole David Duke thing all over again but much worse he apologizes the apology is not good enough, the apology is not accepted because you apologized for this will you apologize for that, ect. ect. That is why Trump can never ever ever apologize.
Trump was going to be attacked and ISIS daddy attacking him or some such avatar was going to land a punch now it is up to Trump to counter punch like he always does he is jabbing away at it but has not found the counter punch that shuts it down. My guess is his Friday rally is when he will through the real counter punch so he can own the media over the weekend. That fits his pattern in the past of owning the news cycle he gets fri, sat. sun. (all the talk shows), and then mon. before anyone can really respond. Plus the dems have used up all the attacks they have racist, homophobic, anti-women ect. those attacks are dead in the water at this point. The anti-troop attack was a new one for the dems and was a brilliant move dems never attack republicans for being anti-troop. The obvious counter punch is the VA scandal. The dems can not out patriot the republicans and it comes off as forced. I doubt they can pull the same trick again about Trump being anti-troops and the dems do deserve credit for a good line of attack.
Trump works because he defines his opponents. Trump has been laying the ground work for making the MSM an enemy from the start of his campaign and this week is going to reinforce his narrative. He has to keep doubling down on that about calling out the media. The media polls lower than STDs and he can judo flip them because if they can talk to him or talk about him then they have to talk about Hillary and Hillary is trying like hell not to be on camera the longer she talks the more people remember she is Crooked Hillary. Serioulsy think about ain't it strange that the democratic nominee is not on camera attacking Trump for the last four days. Hillary has to run without running to win she may be smart but she is fucking bad on camera and in interviews.
Trump always owns the downside and that is his best strength it allows him to be in charge of who he is. Sur I'm flippant, sure I like KFC and taco bell, sure I'm the chaos candidate, sure crying babies can get on my nerve, sure I don't like the media attacking me, sure I'm real tough on terrorist, sure I play hardball in business, sure I will keep you safe, sure I will fix the economy, sure I will lock the crooks up. Do you see what he is doing he owns it he because he has to Trump not acting like Trump would not be a Trump worth voting for.
So in quick summary let Trump be Trump. Those that want to win on the political right have to move in the direction Trump wants to move in it is the only direction the campaign can go because that is how Trump wins. Republicans need to start laughing in the medias face and attacking them and calling them out for covering for Hillary thus forcing Hillary to show her head. Once you force Hillary into the spotlight it is easy to tear her down.
Thoughts?

I'm not so sure this time. He had a lead in official polls for once and a scandal that could sink Hillary with the DNC leaks, literally all he needed to do this week was shut up and stick to a per-prepared script at his rallies and then just go DNC LEAKS to any reporters.
He did the ultimate sin, which was interrupting his enemy when she was making a mistake. The media are already all conspiring against him, he needed to not give them anything for at least two weeks so people would stay upset about the DNC Leaks.

According to Wikileaks there is more information to come, some of it is claimed to be damning enough to put Clinton in prison. Compare this to Trumps outbursts about Russia or the Muslims soldier both ended up hurting Clinton's image by bringing to light the fact that she accepted money from Russian oligarchs in exchange for uranium. As well as Kazir Kahn's pay to play scheme and ties to the Muslim brotherhood. Throw the next batch of leaks into this and you've got the key to sink Clinton's chances.

DNC operations are working on you. The media manufactures polls to suit what they want to portray. They want you to think he's falling in the polls. It's a PSYOP, nothing more. No one that rejects Hillary is waffling.
[–] BoiseNTheHood 0 points 2 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago (edited ago)
Don't fall for the bullshit. Trump didn't even make any errors, the media will just continue to blow the tiniest things out of proportion against him while ignoring the DNC's massive scandals. And most of the polls being released at the moment are very fishy, whether it's convenient decisions by the polling firms to change the questions, or even more biased sampling than normal. The globalists are in full-blown panic mode trying to push the narrative that Trump is done in order to discourage voters like you.

When one candidate is scrutinized 24/7 for a "gotcha", and the other is shielded 24/7 from obvious and documented actual high crimes and misdemeanors, it's not quite fair to blame Trump for feeding the media frenzy. They will feed on anything 24/7 to fit their narrative, and blacklist anything 24/7 that doesn't. If it wasn't the soldier's parents, it would be something else. The amazing thing is how it's all so coordinated as if it's just one giant media echo chamber.
[–] dildonkers [S] 1 point 0 points 1 point (+1|-1) ago
It's very easy to give them things to attack you about if you keep dropping shit about veterans and Russia. People see through manufactured outrage over nothing, but these kind of soundbites are just careless.
[–] BoiseNTheHood 0 points 2 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago
Oh please. This excuse is so lame. The Republicans have spent decades nominating "respectable" cucks who play by the left's one-sided rules of discourse, and it doesn't matter, they still get railroaded by the press. In 2012, Romney was Hitler, a racist, sexist, etc., and no amount of self-flagellating and apologizing was ever enough to change the media's narrative.
The fact is, the Republicans have shot themselves in the foot for decades now by always letting the left frame every debate, playing by the left's rules, begging for the left's approval, and compromising with the left in the (foolish) hopes that the left will do the same in return. It is no longer an opposition party, just a nearly identical wing of the Uniparty. Trump's approach is what we actually need to push the Overton Window back towards functioning elections with actual choices.

Sure he could have been more politically correct, but that's the double edged sword with him. He's unfiltered. If you want filtered, you take a Jeb Bush or something.
