BTW, judging by your username you have PCOS? I think you and I had a convo on here months ago about my own daughters struggle. She was having some symptoms of PCOS. The biggest, most notable was she was getting bald spots on her head. I feel so bad for her. It's really gotten bad in the last year.
Anyway, she was sent to a specialist to do the high tech ultrasound to look at her ovaries and she has no cysts. So they have ruled out PCOS. But she has high levels of androgens. So now she's on spironolactone. Do you have any experience with this sort of thing? I've read good things about spiro and I'm hoping it helps.
Also earlier this year she was dx with a pretty awful personality disorder. We are hoping that perhaps the mental stuff has been a result of those high levels of male hormones. And how tf does this even happen?

I'm sorry to hear about your daughter, but I don't actually have it. It's just a dumb username to make fun of every fat chick claiming they have PCOS (whether diagnosed or not) and kind of a Pecos Bill pun.
I don't really have any advice for you, and I'm not a doctor, but the hormones can absolutely mess up her personality and cause irritability that would cause some emotional instability. Think about when you're PMSing or maybe even when you were pregnant? And from that, you can also realize why fat women are such unstable, raging assholes. Their hormones are always out of whack. I hope you and your daughter can find some combo of hormonal and perhaps psychiatric therapy that will help. I would see an endocrinologist, for sure.

Hi, thanks! All of the above are being done-therapy and endo. I've already seen improvement in her mood (she's not such a raging asshole, lol) so I'm hoping that as she continues with that med her hair will come back in.
If not, I've told her I'd be glad to take her wig shopping. It would be fun!
