Still being hyped for games

In the year 2016

Nyet. Between shitty bug-ridden messes á la Ubisoft, or Day 1-DLC-up-yer-arse á la Electronic Arts, or Indie garbage overhyped by video game "journalists" that really just want to be movie critics, there's not much I'm looking forward to.

Enderal is pretty nice though. I hope they bring out the English version of the TC soon-ish.

Man, I'm right there with you. Games these days never feel like a complete product you can own, play from start to finish, and really dig into. They are all service oriented. They're all either multiplayer only, require an internet connect, have a constant drip of microtransactions or DLC, or otherwise function as a platform to constantly require extra cash.

I especially hate all this early access, constantly in development shit. Even if I only get charged once up front, I just want a finished game god damnit!

This is probably why most of the games I play these days are pre-2010, often pre-2000.

Honestly, I'm not hyped for any games this year. The rushed AAA titles that come out every year and then have wait another several months to purchase the rest of the game isn't a trend that I like. I'll just stick to good old Smite until something new, fresh and game changing comes out.

So hyped for that, but it's most likely going to be a few more years before that is released.

A lot of people have been hating on this, but I'm genuinely looking forward to Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. It's the first Call of Duty in years that I've actually wanted to play, and that's because it feels like the first game since World At War which isn't set in a modern military setting.

If I had to pick something, it would be The Witness. Sadly, it's expensive as balls.

Short answer: I'm a Battlefield fan

Longer answer: I think it's still the best multiplayer fps series out there. Nobody does vehicles and destruction as well. Arma is a bit too complex for me. If it's a reskin of a good thing is that necessarily bad? I think BC2 has a very different feel to BF3/4. BF3 and BF4 were essentially the same game, BF4 brought many improvements yet somehow BF3 felt like a better game. This time they are at least trying a new era and setting and I think DICE can pull it off and the game will be solid. The only reason I am waiting is because the technical state of the BF4 launch was horrible, I think the tick rate was 10Hz, later they brought it up to 30-60Hz. About a year after BF4 launched they kind of changed direction and started releasing solid content completely for free which I really like. I hope this will continue. I will wait a month or so to see how the technical side is going and then I'll probably buy it. If it gives me at least 100 hours then it's worth it in my opinion.

Civilization 6 looks great, but I'll probably have to wait for 2017, or >=50 percent sale, before I buy it.
