Clarke novels are accurate and believable compared to that other book. Even his short story "The Last Question" is more likely to come true than anything in Revelations.

I saw a movie about a priest that travels to north America during the colonial era. At one point the priest fucks a native, and my grandmother loses her shit, because there is no way a priest would fuck someone lol.
On one (of many) mushroom induced trips I was certain I could choose small details in reality to change. The color of a shirt from green to light green, or blue green. The height of an object from 6 ft to 6 ft 1 inch. Eventually i was convinced that I could hack the fucking universe. I tried to go into a meditative state and fucking alter reality hardcore, but it was freakin out other shroomers, so I stopped.
Some lady who thinks an ex-FBI agent is trying to slowly kill her with asbestos.
Some girl who was certain that the earth is flat. 100% would argue with anyone that the earth is flat.
Some girl that was certain that the word "assignment" was pronounced a-sig-ment.

I lived in San Francisco for six years. The most out of touch group of people I have ever come across. I had an hour long conversation at work once on why implementing public transit across the whole of America and banning cars completely just wasn't viable. They just have no concept of rural or small town life. Not to mention no family values. What's right is wrong, wrong is right. Remember, these were people raised by hippies, and now they are having children. It's pretty removed from the rest of the real world. I would just shake my head sometimes and walk away. The tech bubble has just added another layer of crazy.
