Q: In 2012, the Department of Justice announced a change to the definition of Rape for the Uniform Crime Reporting Program’s (UCR) Summary Reporting System (Summary). How does the new definition differ from the old one? A: The old definition was “The carnal knowledge of a female forcibly and against her will.” Many agencies interpreted this definition as excluding a long list of sex offenses that are criminal in most jurisdictions, such as offenses involving oral or anal penetration, penetration with objects, and rapes of males. The new Summary definition of Rape is: “Penetration, no matter how slight, of the vagina or anus with any body part or object, or oral penetration by a sex organ of another person, without the consent of the victim.” Q: When will the new definition of Rape become effective? A: The new definition of Rape went into effect on January 1, 2013.

This is from the FBI, so I'll pick this 'definition' instead of yours?

You're arguing semantics, like a pedant. Don't be a pedant. <3

That's fine. You realize that still allows for prosecution of females for raping a male by involuntary penetration of the vagina, right? It actually says that the law was changed specifically to address the problem of lack of coverage for male victims:

Many agencies interpreted this definition as excluding ... rapes of males.

And yes, legal definitions and the discussions thereof are pedantic by nature. You might have thought about that before starting the discussion, and then, after backing out, doubling down with a separate definition that only further proves my point.

Holy shit, I'm not doubling down, I think rape is a penatrative act, you don't, nothing has changed. Where are you getting female on male rape from that? I'm getting male on male rape from that. Due to the incarceration system, it's entirely possible more males are raped in America than females. By other men.

Sure, I disagree with that definition. I also disagree that gender is some sort of cultural/interchangeable thing. Am I "wrong"? Possibly, but I haven't seen any evidence to the contrary. Hopefully that satisfies you?
