If the translation is correct. I love how it takes 9,000,000,000 words in Russian to speak four sentences.

He has never struck me as a power hungry dictator type and truly cares about making things work with other countries. I feel that Americans are spoon fed anti-Russian propaganda because of some butt-hurt old cronies of past administrations still hanging around... the American political system needs a flush.

You should read more on him. He is a power hungry corrupt leader. But he has the balls to be semi transparent about it. He is smart (not rocket science smart, but politically smart) and does what he thinks needs to be done. He's not perfect, he's not as bad as people imply, but he's not a saint either. He's basically like the Clintons here. Shady money, lots of deaths surround him, some very shady business dealings, BUT he is much smarter than Clinton.

See my point here.

There is a lot of corruption in Russia and the people are arrogant and forward... it takes a special type of leader.

I'll be honest, I like Putin. I wish America had a Putin. Here's hoping Trump is our Putin.

That being said, Putin's oligarchical cronyism is not good. When the Mafia does just as much, if not more, than the government to provide stability for the public, that is not good. Russia is RIDICULOUSLY corrupt, and openly so, and that is not good. America used to make a pretense of at least hiding our corruption, but Hillary just pissed in THAT bowl of cornflakes.

So, fuck it; if we're gonna just be an openly corrupt asshole of an empire, I want someone like Putin at the top, who will at least garner the respect that our empire deserves.

I was prepared to rebut your comment on your first sentence. Then you had to go and be honest about his corruption. And I semi agree. I give people shit on here about their blind Putin love, because they refuse to see/admit how corrupt he is. But if you HAVE to have a corrupt leader, at least he's somewhat open about it and it's not a big secret. However I would rather we, as a people, would drag out corrupt leaders and literally kill them. I don't think people should have authority over others, who are these random people to dictate how things will be done? But, since we are a long way from that kind of world, might as well have a smart and tough corrupt leader.

Just like Gaddafi in Libya and Saddam in Iraq, there has to be a balance between the countries societal structure and the leader... look what happened after they were removed. I think Putin is the balance in Russia.
