Unidan here!

you would get what is called 'stale' air. That is, air that has separated (or is in the process of separating) out into its components.

Since air contains roughly 78% nitrogen, 20.95% oxygen, 0.93% argon, 0.038% carbon dioxide, + trace other gasses, the layers (from top/lightest - bottom/heaviest) would be something like:

  1. Oxygen

  2. Carbon Dioxide

  3. Nitrogen

  4. Argon
