Those riots weren't being encouraged by any one in government. The students protesting in schools weren't being cultivated by the school administration or faculty like they are today. Everyone knew they were evil fuck ups for killing people & not having a legitimate demand that could be met. Those shitty people grew up and got jobs teaching. William Ayers blew people up and went on to teach teachers how to create kids who want to blow things up, and he's buddies with Obama. So we've got a horde of middle aged assholes at every level of schooling creating this mess. Plus the parents of today's screw ups were tutored by afternoon talk show hosts who thought they were being cutting edge brilliant by incorporating a lot of that sjw ideaology from the Reagan era fuck ups.

Although I certainly don't consider Wikipedia a definitive source of info, it does provide enough to clearly show that you are wrong.

You do realize that the media was just as busy crafting narratives then as they are now right? Incidence of civil unrest during this period were commonly written of as gang and drug violence. Kinda like how the media loves to write off terrorism as lone wolf hate crimes.

Not really. This is the time period where outsourcing to Asia and mass incarceration really entrench themselves as a way the nation does business.
