Just remind yourself that you are human and that millions upon millions of other humans have felt (virtually) the same thing you're feeling right this moment. It's incredible how the human mind and body can withstand such seemingly bizarre effects. Often, it's just an anxiety issue and your mind is making out the situation to be much larger than it actually is. What has helped me in the past (I dont usually have bad trips anymore) is breathing control and meditation in the Lotus Position. Not as anything mystical or spiritual or anything, just for the sense of self-control of your body. Take control of your senses and regain your understanding of your place in the universe.

I never freaked out when smoking, I had a friend who did but I just hugged her and passed her the blunt and it worked
