Mainly for anonymity. Which doesn't really matter when the addresses owner is already public. There are more technical reasons to do with security, but for the typical user it is advised against reusing addresses because it makes it easier for someone to keep track of you when they make the connection between you and the address.

Mycelium Gear mentioned by /u/coinslists below seems like a pretty good option. Mycelium are an older and trusted wallet maker. I haven't used Gear but it looks like it does what it says on the box. There are other options, but I'm not sure what are the best ones.
