What about ipfs for your data storage? http://ipfs.io

I have only recently searched it a bit. Is it in actual use currently? My initial understanding was that it would be something users could interact with in a web-native way, but when I look at the site now, it looks like you must install software to use it?

I like the idea, but I need to learn more about exactly how it works.

You need to install it to interact with files, but you can reference those files directly within a standard website. There is an image sharing site that provides a great use case... https://ipfs.pics/ You will want to understand the distinction between file permenance versus file persistence before using it for your datastore. You may still want to provide a server to provide persistence but the p2p/cdn like qualities of ipfs would dramatically reduce both the hardware and bandwidth demands of what you are describing. Your server would simply be guaranteeing that there is always at least one full copy of each video persisting within the network. I will leave it there for now but the possibilities blow my mind. So feel free to hit me with any other questions. I am just having fun playing with it.

Would you be able to put face recognition data to be easily searchable? Please don't sell out to the government.

Yes, facial recognition would be a great feature for extracting additional, searchable data from the recordings.

I think government is of, for, and by the people. So, you might consider this part of us taking some measure of control on our government.

No. I don't think this is a project to hide from.

Who has lied more between Obama and his administration (including Hilary), and Bush and his administration (including Cheney)?

I don't know. I haven't heard most of what any of them have said. I am pretty sure I have heard all of them state non-truths on multiple occasions.

Have you considered collaborating with archive.org? They might be able to provide some storage space.

Another person mentioned that as well. I have not contacted them yet, though. I will be looking in to it though.

I would guess one has, but I do not have a recording of it.

what sort of variables do you plan on having? subject matter seems obvious, but are we talking like nwo references?

I'm not sure what you mean by variables? Could you explain more?

The data should be anything that a politician, or candidate has said that there is a recording of.

so you've got say a state of the union address, so it'll have tags obviously for shit like economy, jobs, military conflicts, immigration, etc. i'm just wondering how far you plan on taking that. hope that's clearer. basically subject matter, i suppose?

edit: or is it just gonna be everything available by a praticular politician? still a hercluean task.
