One thing that kind of made me sit back and go "huh" was a story fph posted about a 23 year old deathfat who died. I am outliving fat people born after me already.

I mean damn, it's one thing to die young because of an accident or something crazy, but to die younger than some CATS because of your own personal choices, now that is truly crazy.

I don't get it.. do they understand how they are begging for a heart attack? One time I showed my mom a scientific study relating to my dad and probability of future heart disease, and her response was "his heart is fine though." I'm wondering if they have any foresight

Same, the oldest living cat is like 32 isn't it? That's a longer life than many deathfats these days. Your life is so pathetic and short an animal with an average life expectancy of like 18 years is out living you...

I guess all they have to look forward to is death when life is just constant misery and a stream of food they mistake for happiness.

This has always been my obese sister's argument. It always shut me up while I tried to deal with the stupidity of it.

Tell it that struggling to stand and wipe one's ass isn't living because it's already dead due to limited movements. Its only alive watching its own existence literally be crushed by its own weight and laziness and will soon become a burden to the paramedics who will lift them to the ambulances and wheel them to the hospitals where it will be watching itself paralyzed alive as medical workers hook it up to various machines to keep it breathing. Oh and of course, dying from beetus isn't quick either. Its going to watch its feet rot off and if they aren't amputated, its legs will rot off as it nerves gets consumed by necrosis and diabetes in such painful ways that not even the most experienced surgeon could explain. Tell it that and hopefully, it may change even emotionally a bit.

Thanks for the ideas. I do have new responses if we ever discuss it again. After all, now she has a baby, which she carried while obese of course. She told me her highest weight while pregnant was 270. I was shocked. The same argument could apply to my mom "don't you want to be around for the grandbaby?" but despite my mom proudly telling me she was walking regularly on her treadmill, months later I saw that my mom is now the fattest she's ever been. If there's one thing you can count on a fatty for, its ceaseless disappointment. I've stopped trying.

There was this awesome exchange in Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead where Joe is chatting with a fatty and his son in a diner. The fatty very aggressively asks him "even if this (healthy eating) adds a few years to your life, what are you going to do with that time?". Joe responds "well, IF I HAD KIDS, I would maybe want to spend that time with them", while sitting across the table from fattie's son.

"Life without gluttony isn't really life."

They never use those exact words, but I've heard that one a million times too.

Cousin of mine is a 400+ lb woman who is very christian. She talks about how se can't wait for the afterlife and her fat body is some kind of test when she's been suggested to diet.

Just another good reason why I'm glad I'm a stark atheist.

Last time I checked, gluttony is a sin so she should've been sent to hell for this according to the Bible. The stairways to heaven is going to break under her and she'll fall to hell anyways.

This has always been my issue. You WANT to die young? My husband passed at 35. Do you want to know what that does to the people around you? How fucked up I was because of that? And that was cancer. Non-obesity related bile duct cancer. I still feel guilty, wondering if he would have had a chance if we caught it sooner. And these people do it to themselves. Fuck them, and fuck that.

Beyond living and dying, it just feels better to eat right. If you eat like shit, you will feel like shit.
