Beyond living and dying, it just feels better to eat right. If you eat like shit, you will feel like shit.

There was this awesome exchange in Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead where Joe is chatting with a fatty and his son in a diner. The fatty very aggressively asks him "even if this (healthy eating) adds a few years to your life, what are you going to do with that time?". Joe responds "well, IF I HAD KIDS, I would maybe want to spend that time with them", while sitting across the table from fattie's son.

This has always been my issue. You WANT to die young? My husband passed at 35. Do you want to know what that does to the people around you? How fucked up I was because of that? And that was cancer. Non-obesity related bile duct cancer. I still feel guilty, wondering if he would have had a chance if we caught it sooner. And these people do it to themselves. Fuck them, and fuck that.

Cousin of mine is a 400+ lb woman who is very christian. She talks about how se can't wait for the afterlife and her fat body is some kind of test when she's been suggested to diet.

Just another good reason why I'm glad I'm a stark atheist.

Last time I checked, gluttony is a sin so she should've been sent to hell for this according to the Bible. The stairways to heaven is going to break under her and she'll fall to hell anyways.
