I would go for addicted. Combined with stupid in many cases :) There is one thing which I have never been able to understand though - stress/emotional eating. The natural body response to stress is "flight or fight". Animals don't start eating excessively when they are under stress, it's usually the opposite - they refuse food. The body releases cortisol and adrenaline and prepares itself for action. It does not waste resources to digest food and risk being slowed down. But that's exactly what we see happening with fats - they react with overeating. So, in brief, I believe that the so called emotional eating is more of a symptom of addiction than a natural body response. I react to stress by lighting a cigarette (not saying that it is a good thing, just an example!). It's an addiction as well, but it results in adrenaline release, similarly to the above described response to stress. I cannot say anything about the eating disorders...if they are a real problem and not just an excuse, they are treatable by professionals and after the treatment should result in recovery and weight loss. I don't see that happening often, honestly. About the laziness - sure, lots of people are lazy :) when combined with too much food, it results in a fatty :) Then fatty gets stupid because if the effects in the brain someone mentioned, and at the end it start looking for excuses like mental issues :)

They think that they should be at all times rewarded for putting in some work. So in their opinion, eating a mayo Caesar salad is hard work and dieting which should make them healthy and hot in return. Since neither of those things happen, the hams then try to force others into seeing them as hot and healthy. Fixing their dieting errors is not an option for fatsos, cause that involves admitting their wrong, not perfect and ofc means that they need to put in actual effort. It's a bit of a learned helplessness cause there's always someone to validate their insanity and our society is very much against serving these people the cold hard truth. What you get as a result is oversensitive and deluded mayochildren.

I vote stupid. Lazy etc. is a symptom of stupid. "Ill?" Not too long ago everyone just called "mentally ill" crazy. So, are fats crazy? No. They're stupid.

I second stupid. And feel all actions and beliefs are derived from the ever increasing stupidity. Especially when you look at fat consequences on brain function. So they might start off moderate to even intelligent, begin to feed, and the IQ boulder slides down the mountain.

This stupidity results in laziness, as their body is completely out of sorts and they can't figure out why so much physical activity is beyond them, nor try to understand why others participate in physical activity.

The decreased brain function leads to needing pleasure, which is positively associated with food, causing the cycle to repeat so the stupidity and damage to the brain also causes obsessive eating, lying, and a complete disconnect from reality and natural laws.

Little column A, little column B, little column C.

A recent study showed that it's stupid that makes the fat more so than fat that makes the stupid, though there are also many showing the effects of fat on the brain. I think the more relevant point here, though, is education and culture. People learn shitty habits and are never taught otherwise and never learn what healthy is. They should be questioning what they were taught, but as I say, stupid makes the fat.

Eating disorders are arguable. I would call what they do disordered eating rather than an eating disorder. It's a subtle difference, but it's the difference between a psychiatric condition and dealing with emotions wrong. You don't keep eating when you're 350lb if you are right of mind and there is a marked difference between what people with eating disorders do and what fats do. Fats are just extreme comfort eaters.

Laziness, definitely. Many know they are fat and what they need to do. They don't because they find it easier to stay fat and deal with how miserable it is than to lose weight. Ultimately, everyone loses weight when that scale tips in favour of losing weight being the easier path. The unfortunate part is how high the tolerance bar is set in some people. You should not be able to live with yourself far beyond a 25 BMI, but people get to 45 BMI and think everything is dandy. I don't get it.

At the end of the day, it doesn't make shit of difference. This is not a serious problem, just having eaten too much. No one cares how or why you made a mess on the kitchen floor. We only care that you clean it up promptly.

Seriously. That last part of the second to last paragraph speaks to my frustration with ginormos. Last year (it was after FPH got axed, go figure), I got to a near 25 BMI and I couldn't stand it. Everything felt shitty, as soon as I felt less flexible and uncomfortable in my clothes I quit my booze bender and got back to my normal self. I could not stand what my body was turning into, and immediately took action and fixed it. If I can give up booze, these lard loaves can give up overeating. It's ridiculous that people bloat up to biggie size and never reach a point where they realize or care about how much of their mobility, health, and looks they've given up!

Drives me crazy. I'm lazy as shit but still manage to stay people-sized, because it isn't that damn hard to control yourself or make lifestyle changes if you're going down the wrong path.

They are ignorant people who don't really care about what they consume as long as it makes them feel good. Some use eating disorders as an excuse to their obese problem.
