Not only should we avoid the movie, but we should also take pretty much the opposite of the actions called for in that article. I've been seeing a whole lot of Papa John's commercials featuring the movie, and I think I'll order from their competitors while that's going on... A boycott of all supporters and/or advertisers of this movie would be better than just watching it flop in theaters.

Here's what I'm gonna do. I'm going to look at the critical response, and then wait for it to be released on video. If the critical response was good, I'll give it a look-see. Dan Aykroyd said he liked it so maybe it's got some merit. I dunno. But if the response was bad, I'll probably just forget about it entirely and watch the originals again.

Dan Aykroyd is also looking to cash in, as he's kept stringing GB3 up in people's faces, promising that it's coming soon, as well as how he hopped on this abortion and then waxed on and on about how they're making a GB expanded universe w/ cartoons, games, etc...
It was pretty pathetic.

I'm a woman, I loved the original Ghostbusters movies. Guess what that made me do? Buy the originals and show them to my daughters. They're still awesome. There was no call for this. The little girls they say they made this for (like mine) probably have already seen the originals so if they have to sit through this wreck their childhoods are going to be shit on just so some fat bitches can say they made a reboot.

I honestly wanted to like the trailer, so I could be Mr. Contrarian, and because I actually like some of the people involved. I couldn't do it. It was just so "off" in every way. The jokes were hacky, the comedic timing was awful, and the effects were too bad to be cool and too good to be cheesy. How isolated and lacking in self-awareness do you need to be to think that the blacklash to the movie is all sexism? This isn't exactly the first remake/reboot to get a cold reception.

Nah... no sexism or patriarchy here. Just a shit movie. Fuck off Bennett

Man, they used to criticize us all the time when we wanted to enjoy something that they didn't like. "How can they love a culture that is based entirely on buying products?" they complained. Now, the shoe is on the other foot, and they can't see the blatant hypocrisy. At least when we like a game, we like it because it's awesome, and not for some stupid reason like "it propagates an oppressed demographic."
