Not only should we avoid the movie, but we should also take pretty much the opposite of the actions called for in that article. I've been seeing a whole lot of Papa John's commercials featuring the movie, and I think I'll order from their competitors while that's going on... A boycott of all supporters and/or advertisers of this movie would be better than just watching it flop in theaters.
Man, they used to criticize us all the time when we wanted to enjoy something that they didn't like. "How can they love a culture that is based entirely on buying products?" they complained. Now, the shoe is on the other foot, and they can't see the blatant hypocrisy. At least when we like a game, we like it because it's awesome, and not for some stupid reason like "it propagates an oppressed demographic."

Here's what I'm gonna do. I'm going to look at the critical response, and then wait for it to be released on video. If the critical response was good, I'll give it a look-see. Dan Aykroyd said he liked it so maybe it's got some merit. I dunno. But if the response was bad, I'll probably just forget about it entirely and watch the originals again.

Dan Aykroyd is also looking to cash in, as he's kept stringing GB3 up in people's faces, promising that it's coming soon, as well as how he hopped on this abortion and then waxed on and on about how they're making a GB expanded universe w/ cartoons, games, etc...
It was pretty pathetic.
