I think my town has a low obesity rate because I've never seen these mythical bariatric chairs anywhere, not even at the doctor's office. Next time I see one I am going to sprawl out in it though.
We shouldn't be making anything bigger for fats, they should have to suffer and be uncomfortable until they lose enough weight to be human again. If we make concessions for them then where is the incentive for them to lose weight? I hate that businesses and society have started catering to these animals because all that's going to do is convince them they're normal. If they can't fit in human clothes or chairs, it'll be pretty fucking obvious that they need to change.

I don’t honestly care if fat people have bad intentions or not when they sit in normal chairs meant for normal bodies on airplanes.
The fact of the matter is whether or not they’re consciously deciding to take comfortable seating away from healthy folks, that’s exactly what they’re doing, and they’re forcing us to be uncomfortable and/or in pain by taking up part of our seats. It is rude and it is inconsiderate. It’s a clear sign of selfishness that they don’t have to think about how using these seats effects thin people... if you have any shred of respect for us as fellow human beings, you’d consider not being a dick and allowing us the comfort of using the seating actually designed for us.

I'm going to go out of my way to sit in bariatric chairs. Of course, I may run the risk of sitting in a a shit-puddle if I do, but I will do my part to take a stand against the fattening of America.

Is there a reason why said complaining Tumblrite is not able to, oh, I don't know, ASK the skinny bitch in the bariatric chair to move to another seat? Why must all the burden be put on us poor skinny bitches to think about the fee fees of the fat that might come in and need the seat?
Is it because the Tumblrite is ashamed of being fat and having to ask? And if so, why is that our problem?

the thing is... I don't have any "shred of respect for them as 'human beings' "

I want to sit in the fat chair, not just to piss the fatass off, but also so they have to sit in the small chair and think the entire time about how they are so fat they can't even fit in a normal chair. It's like time out.

But I bet if you offered them your seat they'd squeal "body-shaming" and "judgement".

And if you were a guy and they were a chick, it would be totally sexist or something.
I give up my seat on the tram for elderly people, and I'd do it for someone who was clearly struggling (so long as it weren't related to being obese) It's just common courtesy.
