I think it's actually either the Anchiornis huxleyi of Anchiornis genus or the Parvicursor remotus of the "small runner" genus. Depends if you're talking about the non-Avialan dinos~

the bee hummingbird is a contemporary avian lifeform that exists today and it is, if I remember correctly, the smallest know avian lifeforms to ever exist on earth. Yet, many birds are known to have evolved from dinosaurs so whether or not they themselves are dinosaurs is almost subjective, though I will say that by literal definition the term Dinosaur refers to a fossil reptile of the Mesozoic era.

People's interest in dinosaurs is intensified by the mystique of them no longer existing. But remove that element from the perspective, why should we deny living archosaurs being counted in dinosaur lineage? For example, if you told people that there was an extinct giant relative to guinea pigs they would be fascinated to know more... until they found out capybara are, in fact, not extinct which makes them less exciting *not my personal opinion. I'm not sure what I'm trying to prove here, but yes I agree this post really only counts if we include avian animals in the definition.

People's interest in dinosaurs is entirely subjective and there are lots of possible reasons, even if they weren't extinct dinos would still be cool.

and capybara are soft and fluffy if you cuddled one you would be happy they still exist
