Those starving Africans have oppression privilege. These poor middle class white women have to try so hard to make people pity them.

As ridiculous as it sounds, I've actually heard of people bitching about "oppression privilege". One such person was a rich white girl with mild depression who was upset no one is feeling sorry for her because they're too busy worrying about starving children.

But....but starvation mode...??? Fucking assholes, fat acceptance is such a fucking stupid first world problem. Ohhh such a struggle being a fat piece of fucking lard, ohhh the oppression!!

I've seen a fat saying that there were fat people in starving African countries because genetics.
They are not people, so they will not feel bad about this. Humans have empathy, sympathy and self awareness which is why it makes us feel sad. Hams don't have that. This post will mean nothing to them. They're leeches on the planet and it's resources.

This made me really fucking upset. I've had more fatty interactions in the last week than ever before and this attacks my being.
The newest BBC Horizon was about how fat people have genetic causes for obesity, but they always found an excuse to deny that one can also provide a say in how much one eats. "1/6 people have 2 distortions of a gene which has a probabilistic increase of you being obese by 50%...therefore all people can be fat without issue?! Mathematics does not work that way - 1/2 of one sixth does not equate to the 70% obesity rate in the UK! Fucking delusional! I was insulted by the delusion (presenter was a fatty of course, but didn't accept it - but actively showed his ignorance to being "normal".
I feel powerless against global food discrepancy, Rich individuals can corrupt and control any "third-world" country - and they do. I hate this dichotomy of massively obese and massively poor, but I feel powerless to stop it, so it continues...

The best way to stop the rich/poor discrepancy is to take vacations in developing countries. Not necessarily the poorest countries, but at least the 2nd world developing countries that are actually developing.
That's a way to spend money in those countries and help their economy develop a little bit more. Simple donations don't help as much as we initially thought, because it can stunt certain parts of an economy.
Also, it's a very affordable vacation, and almost every country has some nicer cities that are very different from the impoverished parts.

I remember saying you have to be a special stupid...to be fat and poor. I get so disgusted looking at the dead eyes of so called poverty stricken fats. For every dead eyed, whining idiot there are dozens of actual people out there in another part of the world who are actually poor, and starving. If they had half a chance at a somewhat healthy life like the poor get here in America they would not only be thankful, but they wouldn't glut themselves by misusing what little money they have and binging on garbage.
Even at my families worst when we had nothing, I was no where near the position the poor children in those pictures are in. I'm thankful for that.

Seriously, can we take up a collection to buy ad space in magazines and run these?
[–] la_fupacabra 0 points 8 points 8 points (+8|-0) ago
Yes. This is why, whenever someone bitches about "muh fee fees" and "oppreshun" I roll my eyes. They just don't realize how fucking awful some people have it, nor do they care.
