I did, cold turkey, when I was pregnant. That's a special kind of hell. Cigarettes were easier to kick than caffeine; I had migraines for weeks and I hardly slept and I was a total bitch to everyone. Here's to hoping I never get knocked up again

Many times most times I get to the point where my head wanted to explode. I've come to terms that I can but first I'm working on eating better which I am and getting in shape still in progress. Then it's out with black coffee and cigarettes which I use in moderation 2 8 oz cup in morning sometimes with coconut oil and 4-6 cigarettes a day been working on it just they are way harder to get rid of

If you switch to decaf coffee, you probably won't get headaches as it has some caffeine (at least I didn't).

Did for a while, no problems. Decided it was the right thing to do, so I did it.

Then my work/sleep schedule changed, and I once again welcome the morning cup of coffee to get me and my bowels moving in a timely fashion.

Regarding coffee, decaf is almost always available. Regarding energy drinks, you're really limited to "monster unleaded" if you want the same thing without the caffeine, though at that point you can just get a big old B vitamin supplement and take that instead.

Why Do you want to stop consuming caffeine?

watch how much you consume. if you cant do that then your quitting plan needs to be about abstaining from coffee.

I got sober in September and coffee is the only indulgence I really have anymore. That and running highs, so yeah I've tried to cut it out but honestly I figure it is the least harmful of all the shit I used to love the most. Also, studies are split 50/50 on if its really all that bad for you.

I just wanted to say if you quit, make sure to drink tons of water. It'll help stave off/reduce the amount of headaches.

I quit coffee once. Lots of headaches until I read about drinking the water. I lasted a few months until I returned to the bean.
