I did, cold turkey, when I was pregnant. That's a special kind of hell. Cigarettes were easier to kick than caffeine; I had migraines for weeks and I hardly slept and I was a total bitch to everyone. Here's to hoping I never get knocked up again

I got sober in September and coffee is the only indulgence I really have anymore. That and running highs, so yeah I've tried to cut it out but honestly I figure it is the least harmful of all the shit I used to love the most. Also, studies are split 50/50 on if its really all that bad for you.

Yeah. I noticed that once I started to drink coffee I would have a harder time waking up without it. I decided to stop afterwards took about a week to get past it.

I did it for a while in my early 20's. It is very difficult to avoid caffeine, headaches are a bitch a couple of days after even one cup of coffee, but it was probably the best I'd ever felt. sigh

Like most drugs... you are probably already addicted. So, don't quit... reduce. Until you can quit.

If you drink 9 cups of coffee a day, drink 8 for a couple then 7 and so on. Until you are at one cup a day. Then replace that with water.

If you quit you will get headaches so very painful and that could last for days. Depending on how addicted you are.

Many times most times I get to the point where my head wanted to explode. I've come to terms that I can but first I'm working on eating better which I am and getting in shape still in progress. Then it's out with black coffee and cigarettes which I use in moderation 2 8 oz cup in morning sometimes with coconut oil and 4-6 cigarettes a day been working on it just they are way harder to get rid of

I actually quit about a week ago.

I've used caffeine for a lot of my life, and the spring semester put me into caffeine overdrive. When I finally got the chance to let myself detox, I did it.

Day 1: Eh not bad.

Day 2: Holy fucking balls my head hurts

Day 3: Holy fucking balls it can't get worse than this. It better get start getting better tomorrow.

Day 4: Gets a little better

Day 5: Not as bad

Day 6 and so on aren't as bad either.

I'm still tired a lot because, well, I'm not sure why. A lot of things like depression and sleep apnea and who knows what. But not as much as I was when I needed coffee.
