"If you're gonna ban Muslims, you might as well ban anyone who follows Abrahamic faith." I think that's the outright dumbest thing I've ever had the displeasure of reading on that forum. And that's saying a lot

They missed the point. Islam is the cause. Not that the guy was crazy. The guy was muslim.

That's a good point. Why is it that when a white guy kills some people it's, "He was racist. He was sexist. He was Christian". Yet when this guy does it, and pledges allegiance to ISIS, everyone goes right to "He was crazy!"

Islam is, in it's most concrete form, simply a text. No religion has agency on its own. Men are always ultimately responsible for their own behavior.

But Islam is a huge part of what far too many of these guys do. It's both a religion and a form of theocratic government, which is scary. Add that to their Stone Age culture and you've got a lethal combination.

Pretending Islam is the sole cause is foolish, but pretending it's not a really big factor is just lying.

You're completely right that religion is only bad if people make it bad, well put. Islam moreso than other relgions causes radicals though simply due to their religious texts. Its a toxic religion.

"Yea, but if we banned Muslims sooner his parents couldn't have immigrated! Might as well start now. " That was literally someone's response when i pointed that out.

Islam is both a religion and a form of government. That's one of the reasons it's so much harder to deal with than other world religions. If the West would get over its problems with either demanding assimilation or barring the savages entry, that would fix a lot of these problems. Or contain the problem to the area where it's festered for centuries.

These "refugees" plaguing Europe come from a part of the world that is almost as primitive as the one our ancestors used to live in. The idea that all people were once (probably) closer to crazy jihadis than anything else is pretty depressing.

Do they not udnerstand that when they say "HE WAS A US CITIZEN" that it strengthens the argument that these people have no place in Western society. He is a first generation Afghan that was born in American, yet he still has more affinity towards his parent's shithole country and barbaric religion than he great country he was born in. These parasites do not assimilate, they set up colonies and expand outwards. When those boundaries clash with other cultures, violence ensues from the browns.

We really don't have to make it easy for them, though.

They're so eager to call for the repeal of the second amendment, but for some reason the first amendment is sacrosanct as long as it protects Muslims. They like to conjecture things like "if the founding fathers knew the AR-15 would be invented they would've never written the second amendment!" On the other hand we have actual documentation from people like Thomas Jefferson and John Adams who recognized the threat of Islam:

http://conservativepost.com/thomas-jeffersons-response-to-muslims-in-1801-is-more-important-today-than-ever/ http://www.thesocialcontract.com/artman2/publish/tsc_21_1/tsc_21_1_candid_observations_islam.shtml

So turning GAF's whining against them...."if the founding fathers knew violent Muslims would flood America in the future they never would've given them the freedom of religion!"

How has no one pointed out the horrible failures of the war on drugs when talking about gun control? All that did was drive it under ground and destroy entirer neighborhoods and create huge gangs of criminals. What would doing the same to drugs do? We couldn't get rid of drugs but now think we can prevent people from having guns?

Hardcore leftists think about things like a child does. They can imagine a crayon drawing of the world, and they can imagine all the stick figure guns disappearing from that world, so they conclude elimination of firearms must be possible. They feel it must be! Lefties are easily entranced by utopian visions.

You can't reason with them. They just start talking about how much conservatives love the failure that is the War on Drugs, then call anyone who's pro-gun and pro-drug war a hypocrite. Which is true, but it's ignoring the issue.
