How the first software bug reported was actually a literal bug that got into a mainframe just after WWII. It was an engineering term first, but now is pretty much a software term to most people.
"Elk Cloner" - The first computer virus in the wild, written by a high school student as a prank.
How the Pirate Bay hydra simply will not die, even after a decade of raids and shutdowns. And that if it ever does, sharing will continue to persist no matter what using other protocols and sites.

When I discovered the Pirate Bay. I really hope those guys don't get fucked because they have made my life infinitely better.

The spam handling was the killer feature when I first got it in beta. It was better than anyone else's.
Edit: While we're talking google products - Google Wave getting integrated into the various Google Docs. Wave was useless. Docs with multiple users is awesome.
