if you were told "not to exercise" it was either for a short period of time OR you were told to do certain exercises that are more low-intensity.
Or they're just lying about it and no one told them anything.

I posted on Feddit once that there was no excuse for not exercising since I work as a therapist and have helped people ON A VENTILATOR exercise. Sorry fatties, but if people that have a machine doing their breathing for them can exercise, so can your fat ass despite whatever condishuns you've self diagnosed. Yes, your exercise needs to be modified for your current medical level, but EVERYONE can exercise (once medically stable which is normally a limited period like what your doctor has noted). That post got down voted to hell. That was when I knew for sure that most people on that site are excuse making morons.

I "couldn't exercise" for three months due to an injury once. I talked to my doc - he said I should keep my heart rate < 130, and do low impact exercise. So I got on the exercise bike, strapped on a HR monitor, and did low intensity slow boring ass exercise while watching Netflix.
Also I ate less to account for my lower activity level.
The "surprising" result? Gained no weight, lost little muscle.

I think fats are fundamentally different from humans, even if they start out human and then pig out. That's the only way I can think of to explain how they can eat themselves into constant discomfort, illness, and finally to death after a claustrophobic, wasted life.
Doctors told me not to exercise, too. Guess who did so anyway, to the chagrin/delight of my physical therapists? Respecting oneself and valuing life are two things only humans do.

Feel your pain. I'm staring down the barrel of week 2 without going to the gym. Cancer, though. Sorry. I just got kicked in the stomach by a horse and had some minor internal bleeding. Keep your head up.

I hate that people willing to put in the effort get lumped with things like this. There is an endless supply of fats who would like nothing more than some condishun to validate their need to be a victim and avoid exercise. But they don't. Fats get bodies that would have otherwise been fine if they weren't destroyed by their owners. Meanwhile, good, hard working people are stuck with shit they can't change even if they wanted to.
