say what you want, but this is ultimately what carrying a gun, concealed or openly, leads to

it may not be rational, but it makes sense

people get anxious, afraid, nervous and go in fight and flight mode. they "arm up".

which is bad, that's what happened in the cold way, until everyone armed down, and were ready for a peaceful life.

If someone is assaulting you with a non-deadly weapon, does it count as self defense if you shoot them with a gun?

Not a lawyer or anything, but if you end up in any fight where you are armed, you have to defend your weapon, which can mean drawing it on an unarmed opponent. If they take your weapon, your life is now at risk. That is why when you concealed carry you must become the most humble person on earth.

Its actually totally easy to disarm an opponent even if he is trained to shoot and twice your size.
