Yes. I was lighting toilet paper on fire and throwing it into the toilet. I was somewhere around 12. I got my ass beat.
I definitely deserved it. I do believe parents should be allowed to spank their kids. There is a difference between a spank and abuse.

For a second I thought it said "have your parents ever hit on you"

Yeah when I was a young lad many years ago. Yeah it was usually justified. I was a prick in the teenage years, but aren't we all?
As the eldest of my siblings, I think it's especially necessary to be taught the lesson of there is always a bigger fish. Know your limits. Don't abuse your power over others.
I think Dad did that well. I feel like a mostly well adjusted individual in that sense.

Yes I was spanked and clipped around the ear when I did something wrong.
Yes, I think parents AND teachers should be allowed to discipline their children and students.
In particular, boys can often require a strong hand to keep them in line.

My parents would swat my ass whenever I needed it. Their reasons were theirs but I always knew why I had gotten my ass whooped.
When I was 17-18 years old and learning how to drive, my father would backhand me from the passenger seat if I forgot to use my turn signal or didn't turn my head and check my blind spot. If I didn't check my mirrors every 3-5 seconds, he'd reach right up and slap me again. To this day, I unconsciously jerk my head, as if to duck another backhand if I go longer than 10 seconds without checking my mirrors. I even feel a slap coming every time I drive onto the freeway, so I turn my head all the way when I merge onto interstate highways. I've never had a moving violation nor have I ever been involved in a collision when I was driving.

Back when there was a bar and ethical moral standards in America, hell yeah my parents beat my ass when I stepped out of line. I'm happy they did, too. What I'm not happy about is how that same standard was quietly removed from young girls. So I got to watch an entire generation of women grow up around me only to get mixed up in drugs and sex, until the present year, where most of them are ending up completely alone living on welfare or with drug dealers that obviously don't love them, looking like repugnant sloths and almost always having a kid or two.
A lot of older men I know are starting to pipe up about what a crock a shit it is they can't beat their children now, or that nobody beats their kids because everything is so permissive these days. Not beating children is exactly what created the SJW menace in America.
America, if you have any respect left for yourselves, if you want to do the right thing and end this descent into chaos, I implore you, beat the fuck out of intolerable children until they learn to respect your authority. AND IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE YOU HAVE THE AUTHORITY BECAUSE YOU KNOW YOU'RE PART OF THE PROBLEM, GET YOUR ASS TO CHURCH AND START PRAYING TO GOD ALMIGHTY FIRST.
Be the example you want to see in the world. Then whip your kids, dammit. Make them mind, and be involved in their education. If you aint got money and think you don't have the time because you need to work, go find other parents and adults who feel the same as you and form fucking villages away from the endlessly soul-destroying life-wasting technology Americans are being warped by more and more with every passing day. Go be human beings again, and restore order to society. Get it done.

Man, see I was right there agreeing with you until you brought Jesus into the mix.

I don't give a shit if you are religious or not as long as you're not part of the SJW problem. It is 100% entirely your choice whether or not you want to burn in hell in the afterlife. My point was that if you personally don't believe you have the authority to back up your moral convictions because you know you don't really stand for anything and your kids see that, then church is a damn good answer. But if you're hot to trot and you know what you're doing on your own, more power to ya.

My parents did. Most recent hit was my mother hitting me on the head because I told them I was leaving them. I had mostly psychological abusive parents, and would hit me once in a while.
One day I had enough of it and went to look for at rental places with my boyfriend(I am a girl) and we found one. I was still tied to my parents and hoped they would understand, but they threated to break my legs so I couldn't leave. When I went to leave they started hitting me. My boyfriend was also attacked by my father but thank god he held his temper(he would have kicked the shit out of my father, and I don't want to loose my bf). He asked me if I wanted to leave, I said yes on which he grabbed me and pushed us out of the house.
I have seen my parents only once more, when they waited on me at my work, but I could get away. From what I heard they still call/visit school(I have the email conversation they have with school) and they regulary visit my workplace and make a scene there, but mostly I am at work and they get dragged of by the security.
I am not the first to have this happen in the family, and I am glad they are out of my life. No one of my family has even tried to contact me, because they are all like this.....

My old man hit me once. The only time he ever hit me, which made it all the more effective, since it caused me to reassess how I chose to address my mother. I was being a little shit and I thoroughly deserved it.
