I estimate 75% of people I went to college with cheated some (all backgrounds, well known top 50 school). It's gross, but fortunately a lot of them struggle now.

Cheating on tests is ingrained in Chinese society. It comes from the civil service test. a shirt covered in essays for the test. China created a huge incentive to cheat and then ignored the problem for a couple hundred years.
