Wouldn't it be interesting if Facebook did this on the basis of tracking their two phones as being in proximity to one another.

I was thinking this is what happened. Facebook tracked the robber's phone into the other guy's house and made the connection.

If someone searches your profile, they suggest them as a friend to you.

My 'medicine' guy was suggested to me out of nowhere (I don't actively use FB), he looked me up. He's in a different city.

So it possible the robber used Facebook to select his target.

"Leaving for vacay!!!1!! OMG so excited!1!!1!!"

Is a good hint the person would easy to rob.
