Aside from the puritan influence and audience of network mentioned itt, male nudity is more funny, men are much more visually sexual so female nudity is either gross if she's ugly or arousing.

animes don't have this problem, they show tits and butts of everyone

Be careful in your assessment there: the vast, vast majority of anime are late night affairs targeted to the sort of people who'll spend $70 or $100 per two-episode disc. Needless to say, this leads to a fair bit of pure fanservice shows, which tend to be fairly prudishly censored on TV for no other reason than to get people to buy said discs.

Both of those are fairly old; Dragon Ball Z finished its run in 1996 and Ranma wrapped up in 1992. Standards have changed since then and not necessarily in a more open direction.

It's because you're watching American TV shows. I'm an American, red blooded as they come, and even I know better than to watch that tripe shit.

Do NOT let American TV set the general tone for how we are, holy shit.

This is also kind of true. The rules for broadcast tend to skew toward the restrictive in order to appease the most vocal people. Folks who want nudity and such on TV are far less likely to protest and cause a fuss than folks who don't want it on there. Mostly because it isn't that they actually want the TV full of nudity but because they don't really care if it is or isn't there.

It serves to the lowest common denominator; the continued dumbing down of society.

It's a baby sitter, entertainment, a must-have. (general sentiment, but not mine) It's almost weird to meet someone that doesn't have a TV in their house. Girl I'm seeing now doesn't have one at all, I'm...impressed.

Once I realized what a 'laugh-track' was and realized how creepy they really sound, knowing it's fake...a whole lot of questions started entering my head and I took the pill at a very early age.

Shit's cancer.

Because women are a protected class in America. They are favored in all areas, including laws, portrayals in media, etc. It's formed them into basically adult children for the most part, spoiled, coddled, and thinking the entire world is against them.

Not all, of course. There's been plenty of wonderful women contributing here on Voat, and surely millions more out there. But the rest of the herd has the U.S. bending over backwards for them, and they don't understand or appreciate it.
