Khan has achieved the exact opposite (presumably) of what he intended. Using his political position to attack Trump on a matter of international policy and declare support for Hillary when he is mayor of London was imbecilic. Sure there will be Muslims who think that he is speaking up for them, but much more importantly, he's given Trump ammunition to use against him. He has succeeded in driving the wedge between those who support him and those who are suspicious of him deeper. A foolish move.
Khan is trying to box considerably above his weight and looks idiotic for trying. Getting the mayor of Paris to back him, again, showed incompetence. Even a coalition of European mayors has absolutely no bearing on the American General Election.

Yes. It shows almost unimaginable arrogance.
How do you think the British would act if the Mayor of New York came out strongly on one side or the other of the EU Referendum. There would be uproar, and rightly so.

They censored it enough so that everyone would forget. Same is happening with Bataclan, Brussles bombing and the rest of them.

The normal narrative is if you associate muslim terrorism with muslim presence in the country then "they have won" and "you're playing into their hands", and Brits fall for this hook line and sinker.
