As someone who watched the daily show, I was looking forward to him either dissecting problems with the media circus or addressing Trump's points.

I think hot-headed is a valid criticism of him in the past, but if that's going to be used they need a more recent example. Trump seems pretty measured once he started his campaign. I was really hoping for more salient points to be used against him, rather than just focusing on his hands and his dislike of being called a baby.

Also the 50% comment, which seemed so damning to many, could be interpreted as either

  • He hates Democrats, which, news flash, the Democrats aren't huge fans of Republicans either
  • He hates Muslims/Mexicans, which is disingenuous to Trump's stated policy/plans. I'm hoping it's not this, because I would hope for better from Jon Stewart.

Is Jon Leibowitz already bored with rescuing farm animals? What's next, will they send him to rescue the horribly unfunny Trevor Noah kid that took over for him?

Jon Stewart and Jon Oliver... who they send in to gain traction with certain demographics.
