In other words, they don't know what caused the fish's death. They just know a bunch of drunken idiots came through for some drunken skinny-dipping, and after they left, somebody found a dead fish. And since the species is endangered, they want any excuse they can to blame the drunken idiots for the death.

Don't get me wrong, the drunken idiots are drunken idiots, and deserve to be prosecuted for the crimes of which they have evidence for, but this really comes across as an attempt to proclaim the criminal guilty before the trial, especially the way the article headline implies the fish's death is the fault of the drunken idiots, when not even the authorities know yet whether or not that is the case...

I see your point, but would prefer to avoid a future where all of my experiences with nature are through a glass wall.

Admittedly, that's quite the jump, but where do you draw the line when protecting nature from ignorant fucks?
