this one is the one that came to mind . the man shot was actually a spy who would kill south Vietnamese officials family's and had a shoot on site order issued by the country for his crimes . when he was finally caught that's what they did . the media in the us used it as propaganda against the war never telling the truth about what he had been doing . this

I don't really understand. Are they trying to separate and counter unity within the whites or am I just reading too much into it?

Beat the Whites with the Red Wedge is one of Lissitzky's earliest attempts at propagandistic art. He produced this politically charged work in support of the Red Army shortly after the Bolsheviks had waged their revolution in 1917. The red wedge symbolized the revolutionaries, who were penetrating the anti-Communist White Army.
