Bear with me a moment; this is relevant I promise.
When I took sociology in college, my professor was an avowed communist, spouting all kinds of opinions I disagreed with. However, when it came time to turn in papers or take tests, I just regurgitated his beliefs back to him in order to pass. Easy A for a stupid required humanities class.
I think something similar happens in nutrition classes. Back when there was only one fat person in a class, that one would argue fatlogic with the professor. "But I only eat xxx calories and exercise every day..." They would get shut down by the professor.
Eventually they would just shut up and answer the test questions, while still holding their fatlogic beliefs, and pass the class. Many of these types have then gone on to get degrees in nutrition and other health fields, and now have actual credentials.
Now that many of them do have credentials, they get to perpetuate their fatlogic from atop a fortress of authority, which is very dangerous for our society as a whole, because many uninformed people will be suckered into believing as they do.

Optimistic Devil's Advocate: The next generation won't buy what these cows are selling any more than you agreed with Prof. Marx. They're just regurgitating the beliefs back until they don't have to bite their tongue anymore.
Yeah, yeah... I've heard about that bridge for sale.

God, I'm at a training base now. I miss being operational, where training days were just working on delayed discrepancies for 12 hours. This shit is retarded and a waste of everyone's time. I always joke that the only reason I would never kill myself is because of the amount of bullshit briefings it would make all my friends have to go through and as if saying "don't rape people" is going to ever stop anyone who plans on raping someone.

What would happen if you say anything to hurt her feeling while in the army? Do you get punished?

I'm AF at a joint base, when you get weighed at the main clinic the display is behind you off to the side so you can avoid being triggered. I was actually annoyed at first because I didn't see where the display was.
I've been through some of the dietician courses from the military, for the most part it's just proper size portions they preach about. I just keep quiet and get thru it as fast as I can
