Who the hell uses quiktime, or apple products in general for that matter?

The same ones that are placated with the orgy-porgies and the centrifugal bumble-puppy.

Quicktime, a lot of movie trailers used to be made for Quicktime, now the trailers are on YouTube instead.
Microsoft wanted to kill Quicktime so that their Media Player was used instead, now they got their wish.
Steve Jobs if he was still alive would have had Quicktime patched by now and found other problems in it by now.
Imagine what happens if iTunes has security flaws found in it, would they quit making it for Windows then?

Except Media Player is not used instead of YouTube or VLC, so Microsoft only half-way got their wish, and it doesn't help Microsoft at all.
Even if Steve Jobs were still alive today, QuickTime would still suck.
iTunes does have security flaws. People should not be using it.

You would think a giant in the industry like Apple would put more effort into creating a solid media platform. I wouldn't be surprised if they starting investing time in creating a new one.

Just so you guys know... These two vulnerabilities are considered ‘remote code execution’ vulnerabilities, which means a miscreant could get the victim to click on a link or visit a website, and remotely hack into the computer without ever physically being in front of the computer. So if you are using QuickTime, you should uninstall it!
