I thought this issue was resolved a long time ago. I feel that the Norwegian TV show "Hjernevask" dealt with this pretty conclusively.

Link if anyone is interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cVaTc15plVs

Probably been posted before, but still. ^_^

Well duh, because when boys are learning math and express unreasonable anxiety, they're told to stop whining and study harder instead of being coddled.

The truth is shit's hard and they don't want to do it. They'd rather do something easier that allows them more time to do things like socialize, and take pictures on Instagram.

Thanks for the link. But why not post the primary source material, or perhaps even the study itself? This article adds no specific commentary and is mostly just a 1:1 regurgitation.

Either way, very interesting...

We need to brainwash all girls to like STEM fields, because they're not naturally attracted to them. --3rd Wave Feminism

Interesting study. With expected results.

But why, WHY do I bother to read the comments section? Why do I willingly plunge myself into cancer?

People tend to major in a field they like and have some talent for. Gender doesn't count these days.

It didn't necessarily have to be STEM field. Just something more useful than liberal arts or feminist studies.

So virtually anything.
