While I'm in my most vulnerable state.

Taking a nice shit. I get this feeling something might stab my ass mid shit. It ruins everything for me and makes me feel uncomfortable. Then I get angry at myself for thinking about it because I have to shit.

In parts of the metropolitan area I live in there are problems with sewer rats coming up the plumbing through the toilets. One unlucky couple found a group of sewer rats on their newborn baby nibbling on the poor kids nose and fingers. What if a rat came up the pipes and bite you on the taint?

I live in a really small town in Texas. So I don't think we have to worry about rats like that. I do worry about a wasp or some insect finding their way into the bowl. Haha

And did this post help come up with that name? Lol

At least you're not thinking about something more likely to happen. People throw away venomous snakes and they make their way through plumbing and curl up under the toilet rim and can come out and bite you

I actually check for that...

I lightly kick over the lid to make sure something isn't there. When I feel good about it I do the deed.

I wonder what it would be like to wake up in a hospital bed but as my much younger self, finding out that I have dreamt my future while in a coma. Then I start to remember what stocks went big so that my younger self can invest money, and how would I earn the start up cash, and could I convince anyone to help me? And.....since I know that I would take a completely different career path, how would I ensure I'd still meet my current husband? And would we have the same kids? I really have spent a whole lot of time on this what-if.

Something that might interest you

also...

There was a really great story about a man who was knocked out and lived a full life in his mind. Had a wife, children and then was awoken by a lamp.

Cool stories! But the second one was so sad......now I'll have to figure that bit out for when I wake up. :)

I imagine dying, not out of a desire to, but as a morbid curiosity. I imagine what it would be like to be in a head on collision, what exactly would happen if I were shoot in the head, what it would feel like to fall to my death, etc.

When I'm walking around and people stare at me, I sometimes wonder if I'm actually an escaped mental patient and people are looking at me strangely because I'm dressed like a lunatic and only look normal in my mind.

I overthink quite a bit.

I think the exact same thing occasionally

That's good. Well, it's not, but it's good to know I'm not the only one.

If I die right now, I won't have to do the 20+ page paper that's due on Tuesday.

Yes but imagine all the paper work involved in the afterlife

Death.. Idk why, the idea of death, for me, sounds very peaceful.

I'm in the same boat, except to me its the most terrifying thing ever. I think about how I absolutely have no power over it and that one day I will never live again. Ever. Eternally.

Yes, it does, doesn't it? Then again, as someone who has struggled with depression on and off for almost 40 years, when I find myself thinking about this too much, it's a sign to talk to someone.

But I still cannot honestly say that death doesn't just sound like such a relief from all the day to day noise and worry. Like going to bed at the end of a long, hard day.

Unspoken tranquility. That's how I put it.

Life is a long, pain-intensive, pointless process to a finite end..

If oxygen is a drug and we're all addicted. How much of what we experience is a hallucination?

This one. I think about how Serotonin is almost structurally identical to other Psychadelics like DMT & LSD. I think about how the entire world looks like it does because of how my eyes work, and how they catch reflections of light. How would you know it was a hallucination if you had been having it since the second you were born?

[–] id 0 points 1 point (+1|-0) ago

Or even better, would it be a hallucination at all in that case?

That's actually correct, or so says Google. For years I've been attempting to give spiders cancer, by blowing cigarette smoke at them. I never knew if it was effective until one day I googled it.
